Every year for the last 10 or so I have participated in the great charity Extra-Life which supports Children’s Hospitals, in my case The Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario. This year I am really hoping to smash my goal and I could use all of your help!

The picture below is me with the two Silver and four Gold medals I earned raising funds for CHEO over the last many years.

You see Extra-Life and particularly CHEO holds a special place in my heart. In Fact I believe CHEO saved my sons life.

When my oldest son Aidan was born we were discharged from the hospital (not CHEO) too quickly and Aidan became very sick from dehydration and was heavily jaundiced as he was not keeping his food down. We went to CHEO as inexperienced parents as we were concerned about his breathing and didn't feel comfortable with the advice the telehealth nurse gave us.  CHEO saw him, realized his precarious state right away and admitted him within minutes. They gave him an IV (had to try multiple places as he was so dehydrated) and put him in an incubation tube. We slept at the hospital in shifts till we could take him home.  I am CONVINCED CHEO and the great nurses and doctors there saved his life.  I still get choked up thinking about those days over 20 years ago and will always be grateful.

So every year I continue to support Extra-Life and I really hope you do too! I will be streaming on Twitch most of Game Day. Some Borderlands 4, some Space Marines and maybe Diablo
